Not all brow tattoos can be covered or corrected by microblading. Results may vary.

What is microblading?

Microblading is basically a permanent solution for full, flawless brows. The process is like tattooing, although microblading only lasts between 6 months to 18 months, depending on your skin (it stays longer in dry skin types). Using a unique microblading blade, special pigments are deposited just under the epidermis, above the dermis, in fine lines that mimic real brow hairs. The result is natural looking brows made up of tiny little hair-like lines. The actualy microblading process will usually take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on how much filling in you need. If you use Roaccutane medication, you can’t be treated until 6 months after your treatment has finished. Similarly, if there is any bruising, cuts or pimples in the area on the day, the procedure should not be performed.

Your appointment will be held in my private studio located in Raintree Offices, 3530 Beecaves road, suite 215, Westlake hills, Tx 78746. Flash your Lash is a Licensed Tattoo studio.

On the day of your procedure I will map out your eyebrows and make them symmetrical working with the natural shape of your existing brows. This will ensure that as your tattoo lightens over time you still have nice looking brows. After we agree on the shape and thickness of the brow we will choose your color. I work very closely with my clients to ensure we are making the best possible choices together. This is your face and I want you to feel comfortable with the shape and color. Your first appointment should take 2 hours.  This includes drawing time and consult..

During your appointment, feel free to utilize a pair of headphones and envelop yourself with music of your own variety. Grab a plush blanket and melt away on the table while Autumn handles the rest.

Whether your brows are sparse and uneven, or you’re looking for a low-maintenance, polished appearance, brow tattooing can enhance your current arches.

Benefits include:

  • The look of full and even brows
  • Sweat and waterproof
  • Camouflages sparse areas for a natural look
  • Hides scars
  • Semi-permanent, which allows adjustment to your brow shape as you age or as beauty trends change

Consultation & Brow Design: (30 min)
Please where your usual brow make-up and bring any brow example photos that catch your eye. As artists, we will work with you to shape and design a set of brows that highlights your natural facial features. From there, we choose a pigment match based on your skin tone and hair colour.

Numbing: (20 min)
We want you to be as comfortable as possible! Prior to the procedure, a topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment) is applied. We also layer an additional numbing agent during the tattooing.

Tattooing: (60-90 min)
Your tattoo artist will carefully create small strokes of pigment that mimic the appearance of natural brow hair within the designed shape.

Post Appointment Healing:
The full, deep healing process takes 6-8 weeks; however, your visible top layers of skin will heal after 2 weeks. Your brows will experience a few normal mild side effects (slight redness, itchiness and peeling), which clients compare to the feeling of a sunburn.

Expect your tattoo to appear darker for the first 3-5 days. After day 4 or 5, light peeling will occur, revealing lighter and softer hair strokes.

Long-term aftercare is crucial for the longevity of your brow investment.

Microblading aftercare

-Keep as dry as possible the first 10 days. Only do a light cleansing with as little soap and water if necessary. Rub the treated area with alcohol or bactine if you feel you need further cleansing. Try to keep as dry as possible. Use aftercare ointment after each cleanse as a protectant and humectant.

-Avoid getting your face and the treated area wet while washing your body in the shower. Wait until the very end to wash and rinse your hair. Avoid excessive rinsing, hot water, and steam on the treated area for 10 days.

-Only apply aftercare ointment to the microblaaded area for the first 10 days. Do not apply any topical creams, ointments or makeup to the area including sunscreen for 10 days.

-Put very light layer of ointment on the treated area as it gets dry, flaky or itchy.

-Do not scrub, rub or exfoliate the treated area. It will make the deposited ink come out and could cause scarring.
